That's a second assist and another fantastic ball from Grimaldi. Great run from Mata and simple finish. The only player smart enough for the back post run.
 
Fark. Grimaldi almost with a third assist. Vergos hits it at the keeper. Thats a big miss and no goals in 9 games for Vergos now.
 
I know it was offside but still good to see Vergos beat the keeper there. Really impressed with Mata and Grimaldi tonight.
 
Vergos did well to get that on target. Good save. Still would like to see it finished.

I thought we were pretty uninspiring in the first half (goal aside, what a beauty) and really positive in the second half with Mata running the show. That was when the pressing eased off and there was less pressure.
 
Our attacking options might not be as dire as I thought. Grimaldi was a very astute pickup. I was sceptical about Jelacic, but he does know how to finish. Grimaldi and a fit Nish could be a very exciting combination.

Mata starting was a surprise. You could see he was trying hard to get Vergos into the game. On another day, Vergos scores. If Mata can play a lot of minutes, he might bring out the best in Vergos
