There are levels aren't there. Not many are Bayern level at 19yo. That doesn't mean you're not a good player, or that you won't reach that level in the future. It's a real high bar. I'm happy he is still improving.
Def a good player. But there has to be other factors - maybe attitude, following instructions etc...who knows.

Age and experience is my guess.
I'm sure I read somewhere that his willingness to learn and/or progress in learning German was also a factor, in that he didn't feel as comfortable in the environment as he needed to be?

- He's 19
- Only 12 games in at a new club and country
- Had an incredible start
- Great form for the Socceroos
- Change of manager who really rated him
- And it's still October

See how he's doing come new year and then again at seasons end.
If he can consistently keep his head down focused only on the ball he could genuinely be anything.

No game time for Garang Kuol, who was an unused substitute in Sparta Prague's 1-0 Conference League loss to Rijeka which was completed after being previously postponed due to inclement weather.

No news on Segecic injury yet
What we know is it's an ankle injury, he was on crutches and was getting scans. Sounds like ankle ligaments to me. It'd be good to see some reporting on it.

Max Balard started and was subbed in the 82nd minute for NAC Breda in a 3-3 draw with Heerenveen in the Eredivise.

Josh Nisbet played a full game for Roda in a 2-2 draw with Vitesse in the Dutch Second Divison.

Anthony Kalik came on in the 84th minute for Hadjuk Split in a 3-1 win over HNK Gorica in the Croatian Top Flight.

Saad Moukachar and Illiya Shalamanov-Trenkov were unused subs for Spartak Varna in a 3-2 win over Botev Plodiv in the Bulgarian Top Flight.

Aaron Evans played a full game for Tanjong Pagar in a 1-2 loss to Balestier Khalsa in the Singaporean Top Flight.

Steven Hall played a full game for Brighton and Hove Albion U21 in 1-3 loss to Ipswich Town U21 in Premier League Two. Younes Ibrahim came on in the 76th minute for Brighton.

nice to see portsmouth play a high line with a real back 3

when the roos played a higher line the back three were static, when you need them to take turns stepping forward creating congestion in the middle. Our first goal we conceded against usa was when geria should've stepped up into the midfield but ended up marking no one, and not even marking a useful zone

also matthews a real handful off a set piece there. Considering how tall he is, his aerial game has been surprisingly remedial

Pompey a lot prettier than a few weeks ago, not overrelying on aerial deliveries into the box
