Surprised to see empty seats in Jeddah.

Indonesia section is packed out. Seems some of the area behind the goal is split. Indonesians walking along now to get more space.

Decent patch of red on sideline too by the looks.

Which player is that? If you're referring to Diks, it appears he's at CB and not RB. He is the one who missed the penalty against Australia. He's been in rotten form for Gladbach.
 
German broadcast so bad with microphone way up so you can't hear the crowd and you can hear the guy clicking on his mouse from his broadcast cabin in the middle of Bavaria.

VAR checking Hand ball against Saudi. I felt the header was blocked by something.

Oh yes the arm is waaayyy out there. Surely a penalty for Indonesia. Now it appears Indonesia were offside from the free kick. Drama!
 
UAE will be glad of the goalless draw. Keeps Qatar down for now. Playing both games first may be an advantage for Oman as now they know a win against UAE would seal at least 2nd and probably be enough for 1st.

So disappointing with the group draw as I'd love to see Arnold go to a world cup. I'll take Indonesia here and Iraq to maybe sneak the playoffs but Arnold might be sacked by then.
 
That's offside! VAR will check this. Saudi leg offside when the ball was headed to him. Regrettable rule I find. Needs an overhaul.
 
If Australia were in this stage there'd be no bloody chance we'd host our group. Potentially if we had replaced Saudi as I don't think Indonesia or Iraq would have hosted. The other ME group would've seen UAE easily get the host role and even for the other group as neutral territory.
 
VAR satisfied it was not offside. 1:1. I wonder what they're using tonight as there doesn't appear to be any tech. Strange as the other stage had it I think.
