yeah fair enough, still would've driven heidelberg fans madJust on Sabit Ngor. His contract was up after the Grand Final. I'm not sure that CCM would have stood in his way if he wanted to play in the Australia Cup final and he asked for an extension. But look at it from his point of view. He has won the Vic NPL Grand Final and will be going to an ALM side.
If it was up to him would he want to play in the Australia Cup or play pre-season with an ALM side and make a case to be in the match day squad week in week out. i.e. would he choose to start behind the eight ball in his ALM club.
Yeah I guess thats why youth tournaments mean so little for powerhouses, they have so many players missingJust heard the Pod with Andrew Howe and Jason joining Graham and Alex.
Was fascinated by some of Andrew’s data.
Also, was disappointed in Alex saying Italy only put out a third string u20 at the World Cup. He just made the point that Aus is still behind the UEFA and South A powerhouses at underage level. Until I found this out I thought Aus was closing the gap at underage level.
Another good podcast. Well done all!
I'd go with a home and away NST. Option 2 isn't really sustainable and will likely lead to high player injury rate, and under 6 is too young an age to be having youth academies at in my opinion.Poll on the topic we brought up on our pod
If you had the final say, how would improve you improve our youth development. You can only choose 1:
1)full time youth set up at a league academies including strength and conditioning coaches
2) a league expands to 16+ teams with a 30+ game season
3) home and away nst
4) home and away nyl (on top of b teams in the npl)
5) academies that go lower than u13s perhaps to u6
