The Football Australia Thread

I've read a lot of posts on here but this is somewhere near the top.

After all we're been through with football in Australia this guy wants us to be excited about a three day seminar 😂

To quote Roy Keane that's their job. We assume they are having meetings and not picking up cherries with their arse cheeks like they have seemed to be doing the past 100 years

This post exemplifies my reasons for disengaging with posters on this forum.
Serious discussion can be had elsewhere and I may well take that option.
When the G&G forum started I was hopeful for it to succeed especially as many 442 forum members came over to it but unfortunately it has gone downhill .
I probably will miss interacting with some forum members but in general it has become a waste of my time.

Im sorry to hear that

I remember the owner of front page football saying he needed a break because of all the negativity

I guess its tricky, because for those whole love their game its a tough balance to find. There really are issues too big for a platitude like "all countries have issues" and pointing that out will be negative. But you also gotta find the positives to keep yourself sane and keep the joy in the game wr all love

I like to think we do that, but it seems that hasnt been your experience and im sorry to hear that. No hard feelings, you'll be missed and hope you enjoy whatever community you find yourself in (including here if u come back!)

I'm sorry but this guy must be trolling.

He could just ignore me or debate me and I gave him a olive branch in the other thread to talk about his seminar.

The fact his getting so uptight over a seminar is hilarious like out of all the things to happen

Yeah might be a build up or something?

He has been around for a while, so dont think he is trolling. Ive seen people complain inother foktball spaces about the negativity in the football community. But pointing out things wrong will often be negative. I didnt see anything bad from any posts, so wasnt having a go at u.

I'm also surprised by libelious outlook towards some posts when many a time he has behaved or come across the same with a sharp response.
Anyway I feel its a shame he feels that way after quite sometime contributing here since our beginnings here for he's good value imo........

Skepticism seems to be order of the day with almost anything you wish to name, it’s no wonder that the world is in such a mess.
I prefer the ‘glass half full’ approach.

I'm not detracting from anything. Frameworks for governance for football clubs are extremely important and if you can get something out of those courses as I have previously then good for you. Much is the same way that clubs have to adhere to certain FA requirements in regards to governance, coaching, management and player development so does the FA have to adhere to FIFA requirements and I'm certain that these courses are one of them considering they're running them all over the world. The problem is that these base frameworks adopt a blanket corporate approach which alot of professional and semi professional clubs doesn't reflect their own reality. If you can get something out of it, be forthright as you can with the presenters and network a little bit with the attendees then all good. Don't think stuff like this is some sort of football epiphany and that it makes me some sort of negative nelly, I've been around. ;)

christ and you wonder how the Championship is going forward for the FA ship has sure been leaking alot since the JJ departure.
Does not bring confidence thats for sure when our Governance is a leaking boat and still supposedly looking for a Captain.
Is this what JJ was seeing ?
I mean this $8M loss was under his watch ?
