Football Manager 26

I just hope international football is back bigger than ever!! Need to be able to actually pick our best players and play them in their correct positions!!
Hopefully they fix international management going into FM26, I tried a Socceroos save in FM24 and kept getting told to drop players like Gauci and Craig Goodwin when I gave them callups among other problems.

And all things going well and being equal we should have the option to not only manage the Socceroos but also the Tillies as well!!

Wow managing the Matilda's I didn't even think about that would be heaps of fun.

I love international management on FM it's a lot of fun. Will never forget deni juric being my star striker
I’ll never forget a nearly retired Aaron Mooy scoring the winner from distance in extra time in the World Cup semi!! I crushingly lost 1-0 to France in the final.

Also I think it was Apostolos Giannou who had surprisingly good stats and ended up scoring a bag of goals in green and gold!

FM used to be my jam in high school. Every day after school, could get so easily lost in this game. I hadn't played it for some time, then downloaded it 3 years ago. Found it far too convoluted. They added so many things to make it more realistic and life like, but that also took the fun out of it for me. Felt like I was spending too much on things that were not relevant instead of on the actual game.

oh man I clocked up some serious hours on these games all the way back to the Championship Manager days. Talking pushing up to nearly 1000 hours on one version, think that was the year my son was born though and my word was it great to pass the time holding a sleeping baby.

Agree though it must be noted that the essence of the game didn't require in depth player conversations and only needed 2D little coloured dots for your masterful tactical tweaks.

Oh dude, champ man, what recollections. My cousin got me into the game back in 2001 I think it was. Then Champ Man 4 was just the pinnacle. I rememeber getting it as a gift for our christmas once, damn did that game rock.

Totally agree. The essence of the game did not require it to go too in depth. I don't want to spend hours adjusting each single players training regimen, or responding to pre match and post match press conferences.

The first management game I played was 442 touchline passion with the shitty graphics I loved it

Oh man! Champ Man 4 was all time!! That game was so slick when it came out! I think I came in at number 3.

I haven't played it in a few years but have been getting the itch as time has gone on. I think I will get this next version with the intention of only playing one matchday each real life week? hmm...maybe??

Not sure why - but I can't ever get myself into Football Manager after a few tries. I always loved the idea of it, with my first 'manager' game being a Formula 1: Grand Prix Manager 2 back in the mid-late 90s - which unfortunately hasn't translated to football for me.

The same applies to International Management (not a playable mode on FM26), but it shall remain playable on FM26 Mobile as that’s on a different codebase.

Dunno if I'll get it without international mode it loses some interest
