Fact is, Lakeside is ideal for NPL VIC finals.... 3 matches played on Sunday to great crowds and, from what I hear , playing surface was immaculate after all matches... I just hope the feral Northland machete wielders didnt burn any seats with their imitation flares. I wonder what sot of point deduction they get for next season?

Oakleigh has never seen an atmosphere like last night lol. Look you got a nice little suburban ground for your Friday night social gatherings but the big games are best left to the big boys.

For reference for those outside of nsw, Bonnyrigg aren’t equivalent to a Springvale white eagles etc they’re one of the bigger Sydney clubs to have not played in the nsl. A staple of the state league
 
Does Heidelberg realise that official attendance figures for Australia cup games and the finals were announced? Lol.
 
Did the Final make the news in Victoria? I would've thought that the attendance and status of the match would've deserved a mention. After all, they report on other sports where much less turn up.

Its September, talking about anything other than afl finals in this town is a sin this time of year.

Aus cup final will get attention as its the week after afl grand final

Not sure if the Hahn Australia Cup final will get much attention first week of October especially given that Melbourne Storm are still in the running for the NRL grand final and all the talk then may well be about league instead.
