NPL 2025

Shouldn’t the game have gone to the 10 minute mark? Or did the commentators get it wrong in relation to the time lost because of the melee?

8,500 crowd, if thats not a vote of confidence for Lakeside i dont know what is. If they even comtemplate going back to the home of the matildas or some other tinpot ground they dont have the games best interests in mind.
Agreed, Home of the Matildas is not fit for purpose with regards to hosting grand finals or cup finals especially given that the vast majority of the ground is standing room only without the temporary grandstand. Lakeside definitely the better option in terms of hosting the big games I think.

Its not even remotely fit for purpose and this same game played there would have barely got 2,000. People have voted with their feet.

F off Oakleigh… what a disgusting club
You and your South Melbourne supporters can. Taking credit for Heidelberg and dandy city's crowd attendance. Your home ground is the worst in the league, it's an absolute eye sore, we're going backwards if finals are played at that absolute pit of a ground. It belongs back at aami park.

The 2 biggest grand final crowds in the last decade have been at Lakeside. The football community has voted with their feet, they dont want grand finals played at suburban tinpot grounds with a thousand seats.

Your club has blood on its hands for the fiasco of the past few years but thankfully after tonight the grand final will hopefully permanently remain at the best npl facility in Victoria.

Kudos to the Victorians and getting out to the final, 8,500 is a great turnout.

Sydney could barley get 4k for APIA vs Rockdale.
They would have gotten more if the game had been at Parra Stadium like last years Final. Surprised it was 4. Both the top and bottom stands at Kogarah were full, seemed like more.

i was only watching it on the stream so we couldn't see the crowd until a crossover.

was expecting a bigger crowd from Rockdale side, especially in their active section that couldn't fill a bay.

Unless of course its another South Melbourne grand final in which case they will look for an excuse to NOT host it there...
