I missed the game but will catch the replay, but the XI looked good except Rowles at wing back. Would have been nice to see Elder. No Segecic in the final squad is daft though.
 
I dnt know what Popa was thinking why not bring on Segecic /Botic ?? This game is perfect .

Next window are much tougher opponents with Canada & USA.

Elder won't be there. Rowles is versatile as a CB or LB or LWB and has done all for Australia. Versatility is something that Popovic loves. Rowles's challenger will most likely be Farrell.

Rowles can only defend and pass. Offensively he was awful.

I know Elder won't but he should be in the fight for it. He's a better LWB than Rowles. I prefer Farell LB or LCB + he needs to actually play. This game shoulda been Silvera but doubt his ankle was okay.

Disappointed that Hrustic got on instead of Segecic but if he wasn't on the bench Silvera at RW was worth a go.
 
Rowles (who I've always liked) had a shocker, but so did Circati.

Interesting the captain wasn't interviewed after the game...........

Toure was fucking brilliant and so was Irankunda after we finally atarted to get the ball to him.

Metcalfe, O'Neill much better than usual but Balard also was excellent after a dodgy start.

We're in good hands.
 
The likes of Irankunda, Toure up front is very exciting for the Roos, however a player like Segecic not getting any match minutes in both games is baffling to say at least.

I don’t think Portsmouth will be pleased to see one of their best players fly to the other side of the world to be on the bench.

The talent is exciting however I got big question marks on Popa on the tactics but also how he handles new players into the squad.

Tougher tests lie ahead though.
 
Feel so bad for Segacic, the highs of scoring those goals in the CHP and then getting the call up he must have been buzzing, all that confidence now is just shattered after sitting on the bench in two friendlies.

I don't get it, are you trying to troll these young players Poppa? What is the end goal? Make them hate coming into camp?
