That's why I said it is a good first XI when the squad was announced. I knew he wouldn't pick it on form.

As for man management. He said he hasn't talked to Izzo or Teague because he doesn't need to. i.e. I will pick my favourites from players that have played for me before but buggered if I will talk to them.

Izzo out of the 3 keepers is well ahead of Glover and with Ryan not picked probably deserves to be there.

Can expect NZ to be robust early so play the full 90 and bring the cavalry later. I notice how content I am with wins when we make the right subs. 25 min of greatness instead of 90 of little.

We needn't play NZ that often but the trophy is it's history is a good one. That's what they named it back then.

Could be worse like clubs playing YNWA. Dortmund and Mainz do it. Don't know why....

Celtic as well but they have more history to it. I think some Dutch clubs do as well.

Yazbek and Teague way off it defensively. They're 8's not 6's. Need Balard to shut it down.
