This is fine however who is going to pay the debt? If indeed the number of 15 million owed is correct ( which is wild ) then the reason that the only "buyer" so far was that dodgy mob who were deemed dodgy because they were or because they laughed when told they'd have to assume the debt in order to be granted the license. Are the original Western United license holders if they're reinstated the license going to have to a) borrow the money and slowly pay of the debt b) the APL has assumed the debt and going to loan shark whoever assumes the license to pay off the debt ? I mean why are original owners so keen to get back in considering they ended up that much in debt and ended up in administration in the first place.

Who knows. However, don't forget this was a land grab deal right from the beginning. Any interested party is probably more interested in the massive parcel of land rather than the club itself. I'd assume the council has a stipulation that building the stadium is part of the land deal. Without it, no land deal. Without an A-League licence, no need for a stadium.
