The Western United Thread

How did they not commence building a single house in the seven years? Was land not released to them? What's the story there?

No I won't be there, but I won't be putting shit on it like some Sth Melb fans do on the A-League.

Defending ones club (even if a franchise) i can understand, perhaps even respect somewhat, the audacity to defend the AL and the APL though, cant fathom how anyone 'supposedly football minded' would blindly do it!

Here is prime example. Thanks Sth Melb fan. Like I said before, you wonder why you guys don't endear yourselves to the football community.

BTW, Please show me where I'm defending the A-League or the APL?

As the official rep of the 'football community' i suggest you perhaps re establish touch with 'footballing reality' before doozies like that....reddit is perhaps more your comfort the upvotes would surely be there to make you feel better! We are quite endeared on the other hand and not in need of the likes.....

Seems another case of 'if only they had gone away as was hoped and not still fighting AL syndrome id at play!! If OUR passion and focus on our club is a problem for some, then thats based on their own internal issues and shortfalls... may i suggest reddit be more their comfort!

For someone who supposedly 'doesnt like' the APL you sure are one hell of an apologist for it thats or sure.. i think the 'banner' should read "i dont like the APL but...." or is your every rhetort just bc of your clear dislike of SMFC? Its ok if it is (frankly we couldnt care less) but atleast it will save you time having to try veil that hatred though!

Please, I live in Sydney & work at grassroots football, very much involved in the football community as a coach & an administrator & we have involvement with our local NPL team & the A-League.
The team SMFC doesn't come up in any of our conversations, so not sure how you get the dislike bit, I have no dealings or care for SMFC. I have no idea of what reddit has anything to do with it likes & dislikes etc. I do not have any feelings for SMFC, so how can I dislike it.

This is an A-League forum & I come here to discuss A-League stuff, good & bad. I don't think the Admin, suits of the APL are doing a good job, but I enjoy the A-League, just like maybe some SMFC fans maybe thought the NSL admin & suits were not doing a great job but got on with following the NSL because their team was in it.
There is an NPL forum, I rarely visit as I haven't the interest or the knowledge to contribute.
But some SMFC fans come onto the A-League forum & talk sh!t.
The A-League has it's faults but we have made 6 world cups in a row under the A-League reign, yes no doubt on the back of many ex NSL players, but also with Lowy money bringing in Guus to replace Frank Farina, plus moving to Asia, where we get full competition.
I'm a believer of being pro something not against something, maybe you should try it.

Hahahhaha.....Dont know about the others but im utterly convinced and have been censored back into my place! Banned to the pro NSL forum I go!
You just make sure to keep flying those colours and proudly there champ!
May I suggest though, that perhaps you ask during your 'involvement with your local NPL side' what they think about the game in this country the answer may suprise your bubble!
