Soccer Ashes thread

I'd be interested in putting Metcalfe in the RWB spot for a game then he came roam and we can shift formations. With Balard you've got the best coverage to hang back.

Hannover's current formation is the same but both wing backs are totally inverted and it works really well with forming triangles. Metcalfe and Bos have that versatility. We saw that it didn't work at the Asian Cup because it was tried with Behich and Jones.

I'd like to see this XI

Izzo
Mathews - Circati - Burgess
Miller ---------------------------------- Bos
Balard - Metcalfe
Irankunda - Toure - Segecic
I'd like to find an alternative to Miller at RWB. Strain still no love, is he injured? Bennie ideally but needs game time.

I want to see Balard but we look thin in CM. I wish Luongo was selected.
The Kiwi's might not be a top side, but I don't think we should think we can beat them with 9 players!!!

Silvera, assuming he has come through after that horrible tackle at RWB with Bos at LWB

Strain still injured I think.

You wont even beat them with 11 players, 4 days to go before i can read all the salt and the poppa out thread!.

That's where he has been playing at wing back
I know. At LWB although I like the idea at RWB. I watched the Sheffield game this weekend and he was defensively suspect. If you play him you've gotta understand he could get skinned a bit each game. It's a trade off because he goes alright forward.

I also think he's unlikely to keep his spot at Boro with Targett getting loaned in, Brittain at RWB. He might get a go in a more advanced role.

I hope his ankle is okay.

I think it can be the most dangerous and functional front three too.
Reckon you need one specialist off the ball like mcgree or metcalf or things could get frustrating quick

You must be ecstatic that Aziz B isn't in the squad, JS.
