The Australian Championship 🇦🇺🏆

I've just put together a little Championship page for the tables and fixtures/results:

I've slotted in South Hobart, but if they lose out to Launceston City I'll amend it.

Also added a link to the map of Australian clubs. It's a few years old but better than nothing haha.

Which is your "group of death"?

For mine, it's down to two groups. Group C has the best top 3 in the groups, but Group D has the better overall 4.

So it's D > C > B > A... the groups in reverse order haha!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Moreton City give group A a bit of a shake, given the average seasons that South Melbourne and Sydney Olympic have had.

Great job as always!
For me its B 》D 》C 》A by order of difficulty not that there is much in there between the groups, just think that top 2 combo is a little harder to pick in group B!

HG.... A tipping game would be fantastic for the championship if everyone is up for it?

Cheers. Yeah we're going to use "Shouts" for the Championship tipping. The HG Aus Cup tipping will be a "one and done" hahaha, so whoever wins it has bragging rights for life!

There are no more franchise markets!!!
Prob just Geelong and Tasmania, but your general point still stands.

I’m gonna put it out there and state I’ve never been particularly impressed by ScottyMac as a human being; serviceable-enough player on his day yes, but his takes and overall demeanour have rubbed me the wrong way more often than not.

I may have mentioned this on 442 before, but a few years ago when Scott Mac was at Roar I was coaching a pre-season game at an inner Brisbane club ground, with one sideline right next to a street and the bench right next to the fence/footpath. During the first half I noticed this bloke walking past, he stopped and leaned on the fence and said hello. It was Scott Mac, he had been having a coffee with a few of his team mates a couple blocks away. He watched the rest of the first half, and mentioned a few things about how he thought my team was playing as we chatted on and off. At half time he suggested a couple things to look at in the second half, then he left. I have to say he came across as a quite nice guy.

... finish the story... Did you make the changes he suggested and did you win? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Geelong and Tasmania?

Not that I think the following are any good, franchise wise, but I would have thought Canberra and Wollongong and maybe Queensland.

real frustrating listen but in the end its a common opinion because other codes get big crowds, we assume that anything that doesn't look like the nrl isn't worth doing. Here is Kazakhstan's second tier for comparison...

I mentioned those two in the context of not having an already-existing side representing the whole city and state respectively; apologies for not having specified. Obviously that’s not the case w/the ones you suggested.
