Australian Dual Nationals 🇦🇺🏳️

I think it can be reversed if Triantis doesn't play for Greece.
i don't think you can reverse a one-time switch. one-time switches are supposed to be just that - one time only. one-time switches can only be overturned/changed/altered in exceptional circumstances - ie. a country becomes independent and you therefore become eligible to play for them.

no worries, just invade greece then and then immediately liberate them

Isn't there a mechanic where if a player has switched but never receives a cap they're eligible to switch back after a period of time?

Regardless, I wouldn't take Triantis back anyway after this piss weak choice.

That's the thing Circati took time behind an established 3 or 4 defenders at CB. Triantis had one nailed on CM in front of him - Irvine. But kept on getting preferred to players that have had 14 or 15 years to make the NT team but hadn't before Popa. You can say Popa knew best but that means he knew better than Holger, Ange, BVM and Arnold - that I don't believe all while being the form CB in the ALM then the form Australian CM.

Yes. The mechanism is provided in Article 9.5 of FIFA's rules governing eligibility to play for representative teams.

A player who makes "one time" switch to a new association can apply for reversal of that switch if he has never been fielded in any match in any form of football by the new association. He can only apply to do this once (it's a "one time" reversal). There is no time limit on this.

As I pointed out in my earlier post today on this topic, in the case of Triantis making his "one time" switch to Greece, provided he has never been fielded by Greece in any competion in any form of football (association football, futsal, beach soccer), he can apply, once only, to reverse that switch. There is no time limit to this - he could apply for a reversal today, if he so desired.

Worth a read if you have nothing better to do and are interested in finding out what FIFA have actually decided on the topic of international representative eligibility.

So you are saying there is a chance?

Very interested to see how Overy progresses this year, United don't have that many options at RWB this year and its bit a troubled position for Amorim. James might get a run in a cup game if he can force his way into the PL2 team and united have any injuries in that position. He has experience playing both as winger and full back so might be a good chance.

Dundee United, not Dundee. They are two different clubs.

have I missed any?
Ferencvaros @ 7pm UK time
Sparta Praha @ 7pm UK time - although probably too soon after signing for Garang Kuol to make the bench
Nordsjaelland (Markus Walker) @ 3pm UK time

Sapsford is starting for Dundee United. Strain is still injured as far as I know.

Nils Salomonsson Önebbo is a dual-national progressing through Varbergs’ academy, earning a senior contract in Sweden’s second tier after scoring 8 goals in 21 U19 games. Raised in Australia, he debuted for Bentleigh Cobras in State League 1 at 16. His journey is interesting as he has never played for an NPL or A-League club.
