yep - this also defies logic tbh - not that an investment needs to be as such BUT I wonder what the SO board have agreed upon.
patjennings comment makes some sense - it reminds me of the previous CCM/Northbridge link re offerings for the NB Jnr's and cash cow.
Looking ahead SO Jnr's would get plucked out for the CCM U23's etc and play against their SO NPL Snr team for eg ???????

Western United situation, Venues NSW/Sydney FC venue situation, AFC general secretariat Windsor John blocked APL from releasing 2025/26 fixtures early last week waiting for ACL Elite and ACL Two match schedule to drop for ACL Elite league phase & ACL Two group stage following tonight's draw.

That's a bit ridiculous by AFC to be drawing those tournaments so late. What if we want to start A-League earlier?

I think you Sydneysiders should just bend the knee to your Melb overlords and take it!

Melbournites THINK it is the sporting capital!

Let them think it, because I think it is the worst place to live in Aus in terms of capital cities. It is grimy, flat, featureless and dirty. I'd live in Geelong or the Peninsula instead.
 
Sad news about Western U.

They've done well on the pitch and played a lot of youth too.

Ive only visited sydney but loved what i saw

Better whether than melbourne too

Lived in melbourne and its a nice place, a bit formal for my liking being a queenslander

Been to Brisbane twice: first out of curiosity then under sufference. Never again. And if you want boring try living in Adelaide.

Not much in brisbane for visitors but i reckon its my favourite place Ive ever lived

Haha take it ~ we never will.
We’re the first city - and still rightly so they have been jealous of this to this day :)

That’s right they think it alright their media been boasting it for decades good luck to them we know ours is much nicer brighter city.
In saying that Melb is a nice place to visit - I christened it Gotham city from way back :)
It’s got a good restaurant cafe bar belt I do enjoy - and a good airport to fly out of the place haha
Bris is improving actually I don’t mind being there for a few days the city is improving catching up with the times.
Adelaide Perth are small to us big smoke types but have their positives not being as populated but pretty quiet.
Hobart - what can I say - 5mins you’ve covered it - like Sydney nice harbour surroundings - if you want a chilled slow time you got it in spades :)

Had not considered Hobart as my final resting place but I will look into it now.
