Fair call. But trying to paint the regime in Iran as some sort of progressive democracy is a bit strange.

this has been standard US foreign policy since 1979 to regime change Iran

they funded Iraq throughout the 1980s in their first attempt

Oh Christ, thanks captain global politics... Who would have thought that the US has been playing good cop bad cop in foreign regimes since forever..... why don't you "investigate" the twenty-five custom-built cars ... Buicks, Cadillacs, six Rolls-Royces and a Mercedes the Republicans gave the Shah before WW2?

Oh and just because you like to add a little addendum - long after your comments have been replied too. it wasn't "za left" that propped up the Shah and his effeminate offspring to begin with sunshine, it was the Republicans ....
