Codewars is back!

throw in the united nations :) meaning ethnics and any other nationality haha
Pack of c's and their wank sherrin for any photobomb.

yer - politcal correctness incl other codes here j/k.

This is more bullshit by AFL, they're ALREADY starting their season three weeks early and encroaching on others.

Their season was always starting on the last weekend of March, now they've bloated themselves into early March and want to start even earlier! Greed and power.
To be fair the NRL is also starting earlier with league getting underway at the start of March following their expansion stateside, and it will only clash further with other sports when they add more teams in the next couple of years.

Kayo just advertised their new show called Rexona Rivals (sponsored by Rexona, the deodorant brand that Sam Kerr advertised at the World Cup). Basically a bunch of drills/minigames between men’s and women’s players from three footy codes: Aussie rules, rugby league and rugby union. Where’s soccer, huh? You know, the real football where you can only use your foot?

Apparently the original purpose of inventing Aussie rules was to keep cricketers fit in winter. Of course this was before professional sports existed and back when footy was only played in Victoria.
Correct. What became Melbourne Rules (then Victorian then Australian) was just a bunch of football rules copied from the homeland so that cricketers could keep fit during winter.

What a twist of fate. If it weren't for those cricketers' ovals then football on pitches probably would've taken off. Whether that would've been soccer or some Melbourne mutant sport, like how gridiron emerged in the USA, who knows? I think AFLX would've died an even quicker death back then 😂

Another fun fact: the sport was run by dickheads that stopped what coulda been a cool thing.

New Zealand (although mostly rugby union-playing) were actually better at Aussie rules than NSW and Queensland (where rugby league dominated), beating both of them at the 1908 Melbourne Carnival. However, Con Hickey, a fierce Australian nationalist, expelled New Zealand from the Australasian Football Council (AFC) in 1914 and stopped supporting the game’s development overseas in order to fund the game in NSW and Queensland.

Clearly the idea didn’t work since the VFL remained entirely Victorian until 1982 (when the South Melbourne Swans relocated to Sydney and formed the Sydney Swans). But imagine if a country other than Australia (and Nauru) was good at footy.

By football I presume you mean that sport with a round ball that all those bloody Ethnic hooligans like? 😂

But yeah pretty similar, except I think it’s just "footy" this time. Crazy that motorsport athletes came close twice and footballers didn’t.

Joel Griffiths in Season 1 and Jason Culina in Season 2 btw. Might explain the big jump up the standing for Season 2 than Season 1.

Billy Slater won both the first 2 seasons

Anyways - I guess the reason there's no football is because it's Fox Sports - no football there anymore like there was last time around
