No decades is the men's NST, when do you think the WOMEN"S one will be?I would say decades.
Still decades. Just more decades hahahaNo decades is the men's NST, when do you think the WOMEN"S one will be?![]()
We're going to need the Mayan calendar just for the men's.
It ended in 2020 just like my hopes for football in this country. hahahahahaahFFS I had to look up what that calender was hahaha
Should definitely be possible given the investment going into the women's game and ideally they should be looking towards introducing pro/rel in the future, similar to the men's NST.The APL need to consult stakeholders to see if there is anyway we can't afford this.
My comment was tongue-in-cheek on how extremely risk-averse the football economy is here.Should definitely be possible given the investment going into the women's game and ideally they should be looking towards introducing pro/rel in the future, similar to the men's NST.
Late as fuck but in many countries the WSL is on there too. Australia doesn’t though since we have Stan Sport. The WSL2 is on there here because Stan Sport doesn’t have it.Just found WSL2 is free on YouTube! I'm watching Newcastle vs Sunderland. Looks like a massive crowd.
First we would need professionalism since a lot of A-League players play NPL in the offseason. Once we get a pro Dub then women’s equivalents for the Championship and of course the Australia Cup would be the next step.I feel like we're at the stage that we need to implement a national competition for the women's NPL leagues.
An NST for women's seems almost zero chance today, but what about a post NPL season Champions League competition? Or the Women's Australia Cup that was on Johnson's to do list?
Do you have a preference? How many spots would each federation receive?
If it's a knockout cup, 32 teams is probably too much. Would 16 be ok? Would you then exclude the A-League teams?
Or a Champions League. Would you just have the eight NPL winners? Play a single league? Or two groups?
I think a professional A-League Women in the timeframe proposed by the PFA isn't sustainable given how Dub season 2026-27 is only six months away but after professionalism is achieved then the next step would ideally be a women's equivalent of the Hahn Australia Cup.First we would need professionalism since a lot of A-League players play NPL in the offseason. Once we get a pro Dub then women’s equivalents for the Championship and of course the Australia Cup would be the next step.
Because the ALM is pro. The Dub isn’t. They often have to play NPL and/or have another job to make ends meet. The problem is that so many players overlap between the A-league and NPL. Don't get that in the men's game.
