NPL 2026

Clashes with all of state league very bad choice.
It is due to Avondale FC's NPLW also has a home elimination final which is scheduled on Sunday also slated for 2.00pm at the same venue against Boroondara Eagles hence why its Saturday i found out this morning no surprise they've scheduled men on Saturday and women on Sunday for their elimination finals at Avenger Park.

Oakleigh will almost certainly host its semi on Friday night unless they play you guys where the day rule kicks in.
Oakleigh's semi final next week is Friday Night next week 8.00pm against lowest ranked elimination final (South Melbourne, Heidelberg United, Preston Lions) at Jack Edwards Reserve as per DRIBL this afternoon.

Football Victoria will not allow Oakleigh to play Preston at night, thats been the policy all season.

So does that mean if Preston beats Avondale THEY play Oakleigh, but if Avondale wins South plays Oakleigh?

This is why we cannot have nice things at South.

We have a great coach who has done extraordinary things at the club, helped us avoid relegation, wins the Australian Championship, manages the competing demands of NPL Victoria and OFC Pro League competitions, makes the OFC Pro League grand final, get us to the semi final of the Australia Cup, and makes the NPL Victoria finals series.

What do we do ? Not offer Sinisa a new contract for 2027. You could not make this up even if you tried.

I hope Sinisa is successful and leads the team to the NPL Victoria championship, wins the Australia Cup and goes back to back in winning the Australian Championship. Let them justify the decision to not renew his contract.

Still waiting on justification for why he was sacked and then three days latter he was resurrected.

But never fear, we have declared our interest to join the Aleague, happy days have come again... hahahahah

Jonatan Germano is leaving Avondale once finals are done for them. I can't see Sinisa going considering if we make Cup final which is set for 10 October that would only give him 1 week to prepare for Aus Champ. So maybe JA is better positioned to lead them or one of the other candidates.

I think, if anyone from that list, JA is the one to go over...
