That was a fabulous match and pretty much AL standard, I'd say.
Time to give South a licence.

Yea the stats reflected that too. South had the better of the game by every metric. Possession was 61-39 in south’s favour. Looked like south were just lacking that final ball and they might regret it/it wasn’t gonna happen for them but in the end the breakthroughs came. Not sure how it looked on tv but it felt like our midfield completely dominated tonight. We were so wasteful when we got into good areas though, eventually we just ran over the top of them. It felt like Prestons goal was like the 2nd time they got the ball in our box, we could have capitulated from that point but the response was great.
Credit to South Melbourne. Can’t deny them that win. To go away in front of a big crowd and arguably have the better of the game
Im ok with that from our persepctive if it means a crack at the grand final as the dates are a lil rediculous to try turnover players successfully for both comps. Cant afford to take qld lions lightly either.Just saw the interview with the South coach post game and he said its all in as far as prioritising the semi final, so Preston should beat a weakened South in the finals next weekend as that will be played a few days prior. I dont think our depth players can beat Preston.
they weren't the first drawn out when the draw got done it was (winner of Brunswick Juventus/Preston Lions/South Melbourne/Fremantle City).???? Lions were on the top end of the side meaning home game?
Strange that they moved it around.
