Aussies abroad šŸŒšŸ¦˜

In a perfect world, based on current form/necessity, who would we be saying needs to be called up in this next window (or by the end of the year)?
For me it’s:
Younis, Robertson, Walker (though probably too soon to sort out paper work for the Brazil games)

With Nicoll-Jazuli and Skoko as bolters for the squad. I think both MN-J and Skoko could fit right in based on form/skill but be down the pecking order based on age/seniority.

While he’s mainly in Chelsea U-21, MN-J has played a lot senior games recently and him playing in the EFL trophy against men is also a good sign. Comparatively, Robertson hadn’t really featured much at all for Man City first team (if at all) prior to getting called up for the Ecuador games.

16 is very young though.

The connection to Walker is pretty weak. He seems to have had parents living in Aus when he was born. Not even a grandparent there. No other cultural link whatsoever. If he wants to sure. But I don't see there being much pull.

Agree with all those and throw in Tilio who is getting plenty of minutes now, and Garang Kuol whose had a few sub appearances. Possibly Bennie too.

Re the topic of Nicoll-Jazuli, as well as Robertson, Brad Smith and Ikonomidis were both selected with little to no club appearances and both improved our squad at various points. Even one Harry Kewell, was picked in a friendly befkre ever playimg a minute for Leeds. And thank god he did, had we waited even 12 mths later and i think England would have got him.
Lucas Neill also, who holds an Irish passport.

As it was with all of Boyle, Cummings and Souttar but they all chose us. Cant remember which one of them it was, maybe even 2 of them) but hadnt even stepoed foot in Australia before being selected.

In the case of Souttar, had he waited for Scotland they would surely have selected him and hed probably have over 30 caps by now.

The moral of the story is, if you dont ask, you dont get!
