NPL 2026

Sydney Olympic v Marconi from belmore.

Good to see belmore set up for the nrl “together round” brought to you by Telstra

5 mins until relegation. Curious to see what happens to Olympic now. Marconi did it and bounced back but plenty of examples of clubs not bouncing back.. Bonnyrigg, Parramatta, etc.

All the Olympic fans upset with their admins should consider supporting another Greco-Sydney club at this point.
Even with their “priorities” not staying in the NPL is a farce. At least the A-League youth teams do the bare minimum to stay there 😑

Re Olympics relegation and other parallels at other comparable clubs. To some of the Melbourne based forum members, refresh my memory, how many times have Heidelberg Alexander gone down in the post nsl era. Was it just the once ? In my head i recall it being multiple times or atleast multiple years ?

Sydney Olympic 0-1 Marconi

Olympic relegated. Take no joy in the fact personally. Sad.

To be fair, Olympic have a bigger history than the likes of Bonnyrigg white eagles etc despite them being historically strong clubs in their own right
It is sad but at the end of the day, we don't need clubs that take the piss out of the NPL like Olympic did this year. They need to sort out their ownership/owner because it has become a basket case there.

Post NSL just once in 2012. It was my first year back supporting South Melbourne, and I felt it was where Alexandros was heading. To becoming a second string club.

But they bounced back immediately! Notwithstanding the opening round 6 nil thumping they copped from us in 2014, they ended up third.
