Sadly I have to agree with you there. More and more Americanisms are becoming ingrained into Australian kids and pretty much anyone under 40. It irritates me immensely.

Respectful disagreement. It’s biscuit nationally. I have noticed a lot of gen z use a lot of Americanisms though, some (particularly female) even seem to break into weird American twang at times when they’re gossiping etc maybe it’s the fact they’d been raised by TikTok
