That's a very encouraging sign that we will sell out the South end of the ground.

Preston will make up a fair bit of revenue they lost from those 2 matches played behind closed doors. If they can get 6-7,000 people paying $20 on average, minus security costs and other match day expenses, they are looking at potentially making $75K-100K on the night.

Hyopthetical question: let's say what is probably the unthinkable happens and APIA Leichardt defeat both Victory, and then Sydney FC to make the final, coupled with Brisbane Lions not making it. Where's the final? Would FA have the balls (and also would the clubs have enough supporters to travel) to do it somewhere neutral? Only place 'neutral' that would make sense for a Melb/Sydney neutral game where both travel is Canberra.

If NPL sides were good enough, surely they would have been promoted to the top tier by now...?

More of a question to @Glenardo or @Beretta, how often is Fairfield Showgrounds used for football? Is that SD Raiders' home ground? Looked like a decent set up for NPL football on TV.

As per what beretta said, very rarely, but I don’t know why, it’s could be a decent option for some clubs.

Marconi actually had to play a couple of games there when Marconi club was out of action during the women’s World Cup/the pitch was being relaid, I can’t remember which
