Australian transfers 26-27 Summer

This will be interesting to watch over the next few years. I suspect within 12 months we will be in our best place since 2011ish

Herrington more likely to succeed as he simply needs to get rid of a bad habit of stepping back in anticipation of a break and upsetting the offside trap. Beach though is a poor sweeper keeper and unless Troyes plays very deep he will be found out very quick. He can learn - but it is easier to get rid of a flaw like Herrington's than develop a skill that Beach needs to.

Are we producing modern keepers? Gauci and Chapman criticised overseas for distribution whilst Chapman commended for shot-stopping. Are we providing world's best practice in training our young keepers or falling well short?

AI wouldn't make that mistake. That's the work of a lousy "journo". But they do use AI for a lot of their stuff so the article itself may be AI but the title is human.

Matty ryan is as about as modern sweeper keeper as you can get.

Very much an anomaly for australian football actually, especially at the time he came through. I dont think we'd ever produced one before (a sweeper keeper)..

Vukovic as well - but was stuck behind Maty (who is younger).

Obviously I'm biased but I genuinely think this kid has IMMENSE talent! I mean if he can find some consistency with his output he could be absolutely anything. Can you imagine defending him at full flight?? Let alone defending that shot from anywhere near the box!

He is 20 and is about to walk into first team minutes at Sporting Lisbon. As jas88 said this is a lot of hard work paying off right here for the young kid.

Nestory is the biggest box office player we have and this is a huge moment in Australia football!!
