This is pure speculation on my part but I'm trying to put a kinder spin on it. Before the WC at the AGM press-conference Anter said that Infantino linked into the meeting more or less to thank the Board "for leaning in on some work for FIFA in the ASEAN region". He didn't elaborate. Maybe the FA did some backroom stuff and were genuinely flattered Infantino said thank you. Maybe this whole shemozzle left them a bit blindsided and unprepared to dump on him at first blush.

....or Infantino is a reptilian and maybe FA was working the numbers behind the scenes in ASEAN for Infantino's grubby little plan :unsure:.
 
The FA stance reads more like they are not taking support for Infantino away. It kind of also reads like they are not against the idea. It's more like they are going, "huh, what happened? We need to clarify what happened?"
 
Well this news story died down. Indicative of a war that after the first explosions, things become entrenched and slowed down.
 
Really pissed off with the FCF here. Even if he wasn’t extremely corrupt the cunt never did anything good for New Cal. Still no OPL team. I really hope his bribery can’t buy more Pacific votes.

I will genuinely detest the FA if they vote for him at the next election. We need the balls that UEFA countries have.

I think we are just waiting for the next move while everyone stands firm - the talk has been seeing if UEFA holds firm on boycotting FIFA tournaments - the next of which being the u20 Women’s World Cup in a couple weeks

I guess we’ll wait and see in March but he’s trying to get votes in the OFC, probably through promises to increase their funding even though he won’t do it.

Wonder if any new FIFA President will admit new members. Wallis and Futuna should be a member but I’ve got a feeling they’d vote against Infanculo (they’re not near as divided on independence or race so would be influenced by our and France’s positions; I’m going there soon).

I think the first ones to look at will be the ones that are members of confederations, but not full FIFA Members. I believe AFC, OFC and CONCACAF have some
 
I still think he's gone at the ballot. If UEFA, CONCACAF and the AFC can agree on a respected unity ticket that is not closely connected to UEFA, they will secure it.

There’s 211 FIFA members so 106 votes are needed for a majority. If every AFC, CONCACAF and UEFA member (143 total) votes against him then he’s well and truly gone. Even if Mexico votes for him there’s still NZ so I can’t see a way for him to survive.

Victor Montagliani from Canada, the President of CONCACAF, is the frontrunner for his job. He’s openly exploring a run and will soon announce his bid and launch his official campaign. He has my full support if it means getting rid of Gianni Infantino.

I think Montagliani will win and Lise Klaveness will be the Secretary-General. The rest of the world do not want another UEFA president but Lise would be the true day to day reformer as Secreatary-General.
