Of course, thats EXACTLY what someone trying to cover up the truth would say.....Lizards like to bake in the sun like this good looking Strayan water dragon.
Now rhere is no sun in the old blighty so none of those European types can be lizards.
Yes I'm mocking the shit out of any special human who believes this nonsense.
Not much of a surprise here. I don't agree with the Mexican and Argentinian stance in this instance, but UEFA and the European club elite have a long history of riding roughshod over the international game to further their own interests. Particularly to the benefit of European clubs.Mexico and Argentina back Infantino!

Politically, there is no way Latin American and Caribbean nations will want Infanculo out if it means a European or North American President (which are the main options at this point). A European president means diminishing international football because they have always hated "one country, one vote" and an American puts FIFA in danger of being molested by Trump.
That puts an Asian and to a lesser extent an African President in the frame. Unfortunately, that might mean some Saudi nepo-baby human rights abuser becomes a contender.
Yes, but his powerbase is the global south. He's an Asian, and more specifically, a gulf lackey. That's why he got the job, he wasn't a UEFA candidate as such. The only way Infantino will go is if the alternative is a unity ticket candidate (very unlikely) or a compromise option. That's why Victor Montagliani (Canada) was being touted but being in the same confed as the US is a worry.Guess where Gianni Infantino is from…
It would not surprise me in the least. The talk is that Infantino is apparently helping Mexico join CONMEBOL for their support

Mexicans are absolutely furious at the FMF for backing FIFA, at least online. Check the joint post of the joint statement from the AFC, CONCACAF and UEFA and like 20% of the comments are Mexicans saying they don’t support their federation. It would not surprise me in the least.
He technically is a triple citizen of Switzerland (by birth), Italy (by ancestry) and Lebanon (by marriage and a special exception from President Joseph Aoun). So technically he’s European and Asian. He's an Asian

In saying that, even the AFC (led by a Gulf Arab, Bahraini Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa) has blasted his proposal, even though he gave the World Cup to two Gulf countries with terrible human rights records after corrupt bids and blatant bribes. He’s a dead man walking, he’s got no chance of re-election.
I was saying he was asian (confed) from a political perspective. I had no idea!He technically is a triple citizen of Switzerland (by birth), Italy (by ancestry) and Lebanon (by marriage and a special exception from President Joseph Aoun). So technically he’s European and Asian.
I'm going to try a little FIFA simulation (using an FC26 mod that has every national team) tonight/this weekend on a combined qualification route for CONCACAF/CONMEBOL and see how that goes to be honest.I think they are in for a rude awakening if a comnebol qualification route ever comes to pass.
Pots for each (using July 2023 rankings, as the most recent before qualifying started for CONMEBOL, considering that's likely a similar timeframe for the latter format of 16 matchdays for nations that make the playoffs)I'm going to try a little FIFA simulation (using an FC26 mod that has every national team) tonight/this weekend on a combined qualification route for CONCACAF/CONMEBOL and see how that goes to be honest.
One run as for 2026 (which means Mexico is already qualified - so 42 nations competing for 9 direct spots and 3 playoff spots), and then a run as if there was no American hosts (45 nations competing for 12 direct spots and 2 playoff spots)
Format for the former will likely be:
- 9 groups (6 groups of 5, and 3 groups of 4)
- Winner of each group qualifies directly
- 9x runners up of each group drawn into 3 groups of 3 playing home and away, with the winner of each group advancing to intercontinental playoffs
Format for the latter will likely be:
- 6 groups (3 groups of 8, and 3 groups of 7)
- Top 2 qualify directly
- Top 4 third placed teams (once accounting for the removal of results against the last placed team in each group) enter a playoff against eachother, with the top 2 advancing to intercontinental playoffs

It's funny how the media holds on to stories until the tide turns... how long did they know about Infantino's mistress?
