I know he has lots of fans on here but I've not yet seen much special from him.

Certainly didn't get why so many had him as a bolter for the WC. Has done nothing yet against men.

Not sure that Scottish football is what he needs either but he definitely needs regular minutes.

I was a fan of Bennie because he was getting Championship minutes as a 20yo. He scored a cracking goal. He also looks dominant in the U23 set-up. He was versatile and offers a point of difference with his speed on the right side. I thought that would be useful as an impact sub. Plus as a dual national I think we need to project where he'll be when he fully develops and whether we're willing to lose him. I think he projects as national team quality so I want to lock him down.

Too early I fear. He's been linked to Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea so far. Everton would be his best bet.
