Australian transfers 26-27 Summer

Wonder if Bennie playing in the SPL might give him a bit of encouragement to play for the Scottish national team, as he said not long ago he would be open them or Australia. Same might go for Overy.
I was thinking the exact same thing.

Pretty cool that Dundee could at some point play with an all Aussie attack in Sapsford, Rose and Bennie.

Dundee loan is underwhelming but Bennie I think would adapt. He's physically dominant and I think that will help in Scotland.
Yeah he will be fine with the physical, kick and chase football. Potential competition for minutes with Sapsford tho.

Do DU play with a back three? Popa's shit formation needs him developing at RWB.

Wow this is significant because Bennie is a substantial long term prospect. He’s above DU level but hopefully he will get gametime.

Only problem is DU already have Sapsford and Randall as right wingers and Rose as a forward. I believe they have brought in another CF this year too.

As someone else said, Bennie’s superior. Physical characteristics should see him fit in to Scotland and there’s lots of games, but it seems like one of the A-league boys is going to miss out.

It seems to be about where I would expect him to go surely? Either here or L1/2. He was a sometimes bench player last season in the Championship. I think our estimations of him are overrated compared to where he is at in his career.

I know he has lots of fans on here but I've not yet seen much special from him.

Certainly didn't get why so many had him as a bolter for the WC. Has done nothing yet against men.

Not sure that Scottish football is what he needs either but he definitely needs regular minutes.

You might be forgetting how young he is. Bennie got minutes in all but three of QPR's final 20 games last season (after hardly featuring in the first half of the season). He only turned 20 in April.

I'm not saying he was tearing it up or anything, but that's a good place to be for a very young footballer and the trend was positive. There were legitimate reasons to think he might kick on this year and cement himself in a decent Championship team.

The thing about Daniel Bennie we don’t know what he’s best position on the field, is he better going forward from the back or in advanced positions where he can become a creative or goal scoring threat?

For him to be an attacker he has to really good with he’s output in goals and assists, he should press well given he’s physical attributes but he will judged on the later stuff more.
Whilst for a wing back or full back I think he’s physical attributes can be used a bit better in a way similar to Jordan Bos as he’s great at going forward but he will be judged more on he’s defending.

So we will see where he lands up.

They do. It's where Strain played for them.
