NPL 2026

it would make sense to add it, as the NSW NPL dominated that era winning 4 of the 7 years it was in its existence.

I'm more surprised about Bentleigh to be honest.

does this include this year's results?
Yeah I have a club ranking list based on league positions post COVID. Going back to 2013 with all the leagues and finals and NPL champs etc. would be a job and a half. But I'll update the league rankings sheet when this season concludes.

Bentleigh have chalked up some wins and a cupset over the years and haven't lost many points. You need a bit of luck with the draw too. The Vic and NSW clubs have more spots so more chances to get points and more accurate data.

Sydney FC is full of them.

They even had two stick displays of Sydney Srbija in the cove.

it's quite sad they rather support the A-League, then there own club
It's hard for me to provide real comment because my nationality/ethicnity isn't common or has any football history in Australia but I would imagine Sydney FC is a vehicle for them to connect beyond who they would normally see etc different areas, schools, other groups of nationalities that go to games but share same beliefs etc.

Bit off topic, but you seem fairly switched on/in the know. Any idea whether knights still have any kind of longer term ambition to be part of a national second Div? Or completely abandoned the idea
No idea right now after last year's board change as new board had bigger things to worry about it wasn't mentioned at all in the agm.

See if it this year but think main focus would be getting promoted and staying up next year before worrying about bigger things. But see what the board presents

Wouldn't say I am in the know just spend too much time at the club lol

Mate they weren’t even born in 2007. Bunch of 15 year olds who have watched Green Street Hooligans once and want to be hard. Couldn’t even point to Macedonia on a map. Feel bad for the club and the actual Preston supporters who have to deal with their shit.
Being a neutral...you've got to look at this scenario with an open mind...

1. The Federation's decision to play 2 games behind closed doors has effectively costed Preston over $100k...considering their wage bill plus the average attendance of at least 2,000 people...I believe they won't hit them any further fines..bit of a kick in the guts if they do so.

2. To deduct them points will only further harm FV...remember...Preston is the Collingwood of Football Victoria...a strong Preston is a positive outcome for the FV in particular during finals and effectively any clubs that host Preston. As much as members of this forum loathe Preston, they put bums on seats and their supporters are quite entertaining. If anything FV will slap them with the suspended 3 points.

3. Dockerty Cup final is next Saturday...should FV continue to drag this out any further could potentially have a negative impact on Preston's attendance both on and off the park!!!

gotchya, so those current rankings is only Aus cup results?

it was also because Sydney FC had a fair few serb players in their ranks.

Similar to WSW when they signed all those Croats, i noticed a lot of Croatians that supported WSW when it first started, but thankfully that died off.

The federation rankings in my follow-up post are using results from all Aus Cup and NPL Finals Series matches. The club rankings are just from all Aus Cup.

I'll do a separate club ranking using league positions post COVID years (2022 onwards) and based on the relative strength of the leagues.

Jokes aside though...if those morons ever do decide to come back...it should be a mob effort from the Preston supporters to remove these idiots from the stadium once and for all...they've cost the club dearly and majority of Preston supporters I have met are actually brilliant people. Its a shame considering they're hitting their straps going into finals!!
I was told the same thing straight from the horses mouth was it true I don’t know
