Can't get unpaywalled unfortunately - so can't comment on the info in the post.
But, it's two grades of an NPL Youth only club being pulled after being spanked every week. It's probably another case of a club being hung out to dry as Capital Football makes decisions to try and concentrate towards certain clubs
If anyone’s interested

yep, been there a number of times G......A bit out of left field this, had an appointment near Sydney uni this morning, happened to pass the Sydney uni soccer ground, had never seen it before/didn’t know this existed. Very decent little facility. No doubt payed for by international student fees etc but none the less. They’re in npl 3 in the men’s but they’re very strong in the women’s. Im sure Sydney Olympic would give an arm and a leg to have something like this

Nah haven’t been since they built it, that sky park or whatever it’s called? Looks decent from the photos I’ve seen. Have always wondered why their npl games aren’t played out of there. Something like this is all you need for this level of football, perfect little size. As I say, capable of accomodating a decent crowd but doesn’t feel empty for the smaller games.yep, been there a number of times G......
When you have sons who grew up playing through the ranks you visit many a private sector school and Uni.
Always great set ups.
Have you visited where SFC set up their training facilities using Macquarie Uni grounds ?
Olympic should have could have set up lonnng ago somewhere as we've all discussed many a time.
again you shake your head why SO have sat on their arse's the last 20yrs or so.Nah haven’t been since they built it, that sky park or whatever it’s called? Looks decent from the photos I’ve seen. TBF that a pretty mature approach. I wonder if they will actually go ahead with the life fan bans now or this was enough to placate everyone at FootballVIC?
Can only imagine they incorrectly assumed what they had going with belmore would continue indefinitely so didn’t think it was a matter of any urgencyagain you shake your head why SO have sat on their arse's the last 20yrs or so.
Belmore + NRL + Council were never gonna let them clip the ticket so to speak, all this is long before these current plights going through.
I imagine that might be their way of avoiding lots of bans, showing that they've disbanded their groupTBF that a pretty mature approach. I wonder if they will actually go ahead with the life fan bans now or this was enough to placate everyone at FootballVIC?
