FIFA WC 26 - Other Nations LIVE Match Thread ⚽

Another tournament where Portugal go out without doing much despite having a good squad. Time for Martinez to go. To not put Ramos on for Ronaldo when we were struggling to do anything in the opposition’s box was criminal. Happy to start Ronaldo in games but if he isn’t be affective in the first 60, Ramos needs to be coming on.

Portugal's World Cup round of 16 game against Spain has failed to live up to the hype but definitely England's match against Mexico at the Estadio Azteca officiated by the pride of the A-Leagues will go down as one of the greatest games in World Cup history.

Spain was worried, Portugal had that many weapons that could hurt them.
Both hughly gifted technical teams that probed and probed.
Goal at 91st minute did not help spectacle.
Not all games are going end to end like yesterday game.
Think about the quality of the England side, dont think a Mexican plsyer would get into the English team yet England were out passed by Mexico even before sent off.

I'm not saying that 0-0 and 0-1 games are boring. Far from it, we've all seen enough football to know that isn't the case however poor old Ronnie may as well sat on the ground and had a Bacalhau because he wasn't brought into the game at all.

Yes I agree, he did nothing & should have been replaced at 60th minute mark, understand lots of pressure on Martinez doing something like that.
Both teams just probed & looked for an opening, maybe if Oyarzabal had scored early on, would've open the game a bit more.
Agree boring game for neutrals.
