Official South Melbourne Hellas thread 🔵⚪

Possible collarbone
All the rotten luck, even if we fix everything else around the park we will have a green keeper and we all know that a top class keeper is half the job of the backline at a time we need max points from the teams above us! Icing on the fuckn shit cake that will be!

Your time is up Mesourouni Snr

And take that brat son of yours with you
Tbf… the kid played like six minutes
I’d be more concerned about our starters that were pretty much all useless. And I’m no big fan of the kid

Like ive said if it gets us back on track and successful im ok to have him on last 10 as a closer in some games when we are beyond doubt.. swibel other than the physicality doesnt do much more ..saw less resistence to him today feom crowd than wouldve been if they fucked around and wrongly started him... the longer the rift proceeds the worse it hurts us

Im beyond tolerating even 6 minutes of him. Yes we know Swibel is bad but he has at least scored a few goals and will be phased out of the 11 when Juach goes in.

We cant be accepting that he gets even a small amount of game time just so the old man doesnt go psycho. The way the father conducted himself post game was disgraceful, you can only imagine what he could be like in general when he deals with players/coaches.

For all his faults at least Maikoussis was a stabalising presence. We now have 2 presidents with huge egos and 1 of them behaved like a complete nutter today.

I dont disagree mind you and ideally this issue wouldnt exist, my logic though given what happened and we paying for it is that we find a solution so that we can get back to proper football...

I thought the new lads would get about 30 minutes today but they must be underdone. Wouldnt surprise me if Juach starts on the bench as well next week.

One thing i've noticed is the progressive drop in crowd numbers. Against Altona it was a good 700-750, then last week it was about 500, today it barely got to 350. We are heading in the wrong direction on and off the field.
After last night its only ging to get worse... Being spanked at home by Preston will be the last hurrah.

Cocks isn’t bad… he only really has one move but I like his work ethic. Gets back to help out
That one move gets a goal every 2-3 matches though.... Defernder can see it coming but find it hard to stop him cutting in so sharply on his right, all they can do is throw a leg at it. .

Also forgot to mention that Mr Mounirouni had a few comments with Maikousis in regard to people turning against him and that Maikousis is to blame for it.
Nick the puppet master?

So much for the mighty Hellas army.. once upon a time we would watch legends entertain us on the pitch, Dougie, Bootsi, Trimmers.

We would win by 2-3 goals and we would complain that the goals weren't pretty enough ... even legendary managers and players got booed and demendaded more of, we were NEVER happy with mediocrity.. and now?

1-0, against a team of tractor drivers sitting stone motherless last (or will be in 2 more rounds) and when the presidents son, a traffic cone, gets put on to replace the striker the mighty keyboard warriors of South Melbourne Hellas politely clap along. Maybe 2-3 boos (soon responded to by the player's grandmother), a few audible grumblings but the rest was silent and shamefaced...

ειμαστε ξεφτιλες.

Yesterday was a disaster on so many fronts and some may argue it is emblematic of where we are at as a club.

We struggled to defeat a team that had seen 17 players walk out and had put together a ramshackle of 11 blokes who only probably learned each other's names over the last 24-48 hours. It was one of the worst matches we had played this year. Pretty much everything went against us. We struggled to score, we had shocking refereeing, and an opposition intent on kicking the crap out of us. Even Lopez's injury right at the end was proof that when it rains it pours. Lets hope the injury is not too serious, but I fear it is over for him for the remainder of the NPL season.

The gulf in quality was enormous between both sides. We just need to be more accurate in front of goals, because we did everything apart from actually shooting properly. Our midfield set up was just mind boggling insane. Unless Menelaou is injured, he should have started alongside Pasquali. Our midfield set up is totally wrong.

The positives were Cocks and Yoo trying their best to get this club over the line. There were some good touches by Yoo in the second half. He looks to be linking up well with Uchida. We just need to see more of this.

As for our next match against Dandenong City, it is nothing short of 3 points required. It was good to see Ramazani get on the field and get some minutes. Retre must not have sufficient match fitness, so hopefully we see him for a bit on Friday. Juach will need to put in a 1-2 training sessions to try and get a feel of how we play. We may see him for a bit as well in the second half.

As for the scenes at the end of the match, it was inevitable. I called it weeks ago that something could happen and it did. It just makes us look like a circus. It makes us look so unprofessional. How do you attract sponsors and better players with these kinds of scenes. The best for everyone involved would be for him to try his luck elsewhere where he can play regular starting football.
