Tbh the only players from the Thunder fire sale that interested me are Jalloh and Courtney-Perkins
 
I dont consider shedding a bad thing, infact given performances of some, i wouldve argued that it was infact a necessity in our situation post ofc, we needed a damn plan for how to correctly have done this though, and the right players shed, it always needed to be based on upgrading stocks.

Im not convinced that signings for the sake of signings will save our year atm either, we have real problem areas that need addressing on the field and 2 more ins at this stage may not fix that.

It pains me that others had the foresight to pick the thunder carcass early and we didnt even seem to have a look in..not saying that it was the answer to our proboems but wasting time on players that want to play OS seems not to be the answer either.

Our biggest sore point is the CB ... that we cant find anyone capable of filling that need is dumbfounding!

Take it easy mate they aren't Real Madrid... Paying overs for ex Aleague bums isnt that out of reach.
 
Anyway Sinisa needs to start coaching better. When Tommy G plays back he cant keep allowing Pasquali to be the lone hand in the middle of the park. Gaps are emerging that look alarming, he needs to show us he has a plan B. Altona, Bentleigh and Gully have had way too much joy in midfield, when Esteban gave away the midfield we at least sat deep and kept the play in front of us, the current team plays with a very high line thats getting easily exposed on transition.

The big fat hole in the middle of the park is because Sinisa is forced to play with two up top.. One to do the work and another to wear the pink boots his old man bought him to go faster. Play 442 with Bonada and Swibel and THEN see if there are any holes, even IF Tommy has to cover in CB for a few more matches.

Totally agree. We cannot carry such a large squad post the OFC Pro League competition has ended. These players will just end up playing in the U23s which does not benefit them, nor the club who would have an inflated player budget. Reduce the fringe players but bring in quality players to try and get ready for the Australian Championship.

Menelaou needs to partner Pasquali in the midfield if Giannakopoulos moves to the backline. It's just a no brainer !

Lack of playing time is the reason, being on the bench whilst Mesourouni plays cant be helping. Playing him causes more damage than just on pitch performance.

Nothing about incomings at the moment, believe Charlie knows Nick from his days at Port Melbourne when Nick was coaching the 23's. How anyone would be interested in going to play for him is quite baffling.
