NPL 2026

Maybe one day when the new grandstand is done
A 2,000-3,000 seat grandstand on the opposite side of the existing grandstand would really make BT Connor Reserve a nice boutique football stadium. What you don't want to do is replicate the Oakleigh grandstand that may look nice but only accommodates 500 patrons. Effectively you want something similar to the main grandstand at Lakeside Stadium.

In the most recent npl nsw podcast the hosts were discussing the future of league structure and the aus championship. By the sounds they don’t seem optimistic about it going to a home and away league format anytime soon
It will come down to commercial interest. If sponsorship opportunities can be identified, then that will reduce the noises of those advocating the demise of the NSD with their vested interests. At the end of the day, cash is king. I realy hope they can lock in a naming rights league sponsor. That would help make it at least cost neutral.

Have been to BT Connor 3 times in past couple of years and have NEVER been called a "Southern mouni" or to jam my "Oceania up my arse" whatever that means... Just a friendly smile, a "good luck, enjoy the game" at the ticket booth and great food.
Oh you are so full of shit. They throw racist and insulting chants to all greek clubs, including yours. I've heard it in person at our game and I've heard it on the live streams whenever they play your team and heidelberg.

Let's not pretend like Preston are some angels, they are legit the worst supporter base in the npl right now by far.

Well, yes. But to qualify as a bad supporter base you need ..... supporters.

i'm not in the know in terms of the politics of Melbourne FV, perhaps @Mkfc can back it up
Think been covered already some teams do get preference politics in FV even goes down to the referee level and which side of town you are on. Got to remember this is the FV who wanted to play the grand final (someone confirm) all the way out in Caroline Springs eventually moved to Heidelberg.... Knights even offered their ground and got rejected but shows they don't give a crap. Same time Pave who was president at Knights did go after the FV on numerous things so him/club not in their good books.

As for Knights games probably shouldn't have been played but same time can't blame the pitch when they have been rubbish the 2 previous matches and were rubbish again

it's still the NPL and no player welfare was taken into consideration,
The amount of grounds that don't meet regulations in general would shock you and same thing with player welfare with not enough space between the lines and fences for example.

Can a club from NSW please offer Messarouni $3k per week so he can be gone from South. His old man is a really nice guy take him with you as well haha
