What's the story there?By the time Aus Cup comes around Port Melb might not be around. Thats a topic for another time. Hearing the skops have made another play for the club....
Got told black clouds are covering over Port Melb. There is lots to play out and plenty happening behind the scenes...What's the story there?
Saving money for the AL license hey??After Friday's match, to be honest, I dont think we DO need a signing just yet unless we ARE going to make a serious play for the Aus Cup (which I doubt).
Agree, and at this time of year most Aleague squads don't even know each others first names yet.At this point i'd probably just take the money from an A league matchup.
Worst case is drawing a Victorian team away, then an interstate team away.

Thats would be fun.. I reckon heaps of their fans would travel for it too.Best time to get an A league team is the round of 32. We got Auckland round of 16 last yr but it was a few days after Dockerty cup final and they were probably one of the few stable A league teams at that point.
I'd love to get Perth or Adelaide to set up an old nsl clash.
Pres & Sinisa have actually told the players that WINNING the aus cup is the clubs only priority atm (which is wild) - wilder when you consider they havent been able to land anyone of note (yet). If they are genuine about a cup run would guess they are trying to sign some big names to improve their squad and compete with who other's are bringing in.After Friday's match, to be honest, I dont think we DO need a signing just yet unless we ARE going to make a serious play for the Aus Cup (which I doubt).
Who needs a big name we have the president's son?Pres & Sinisa have actually told the players that WINNING the aus cup is the clubs only priority atm (which is wild) - wilder when you consider they havent been able to land anyone of note (yet). Don't stress they'll bring him back the following week for the Championship....So Sinisa will win 5 games in a row in the npl then be sacked when he loses in the round of 32 of cup, is that how it works?
Im guessing that means Singh is gone?We have apparently signed David Yoo from South Island Untied

Yeah I reckon pretty much THATS why this rumour is doing the rounds... Its psychological warfare.. One week we are joining the Aleague, the next week we are pushing to win the Aus Cup... θα τους σκασουμε.. hehehehTo win Aus Cup and automatically qualifying for ACL2 would give me so much joy to see the bergers faces
Been gone since the lost to Auckland in the finalIm guessing that means Singh is gone?
Another Hellas first to play in two fifa tournaments in 2 different feds and no AL.... more proof of football but not as you know it indeed..... on a side note if im getting my inside info on signings etc from the agent with his track record gamise ta!I'm speechless
Yes of course the Australia Cup is a great feat and would allow the club to participate in the Asian Champions League Two competition. But to just say that there is no need to focus on winning the league is just bizarre. How do players focus and mentally prepare for important and tough league matches?
