NPL 2026

They couldnt make this go ahead seamlessly at the village which has 2 gates its gonna work at a ground u can segregate fans at?? And who the hell gets the stand FV officials?
Surely gotta be a rethink here if lakeside is available?
Football Victoria likely want the Dockerty Cup final to be hosted at Home of the Matildas again this year especially since it hosted the final last season and Lakeside Stadium is already getting the NPL Victoria grand final.

I think it has to be cost related as its 2 years in a row that Heidelberg have struggled with the home fixture.

I dont think many Preston fans would turn up anyway, these games are put on 3pm on Saturday for a reason, its not to maximise attendance!

What i dont get is Preston are saying no fans, if they rocked up casually nobody would be the wiser, if a preston fan trully wants to see the game they will.

The dockerty cup final will be a mess. Keep in mind the grandstand behind the goals at the HOTM is now gone as well. Good luck segregating people there.

I get that... but a ground that holds max 3500 total and only 800 seated means limited access to both and further reduction in capacity due to the need for crowd segregation! How is that ok?

I guess 800 will be about right if the preston fans possibly abstain as they said....dont see it though this is potentially their first actual top flight silverware since 2007 (correct me if im wrong)... so i really dont see them not being there to possibly celebrate that!

Agree fully.... pitch is fantastic to play on though! .... a second major stand on opposite side and you could argue somewhat that allocating high risk games there maybe has merrit, as is you cant even get away with that argument, the opposite infact.

The pitch is fine for day games. Its a hybrid surface and becomes a bit icy for night games and everyone starts slipping.

Pitch was horrendous when knights played victory a few weeks back yes it rained but one wing just water everywhere, ball not bouncing correctly and stopping short. It was as bad as knights when it rains a lot

Maybe I had too high standards...

Some highlights from the keepers dad
