We play with roaming forwards and it will mess with Richards head. He will be the one getting yellows and reds. Great defender when he has one man to concentrate on - but really struggles against roaming forwards, so when we break we need to have at least 2 going forward

A few people are saying he and Irvine back in given the heated atmosphere. I beg to differ. I think it's tempting fate.

If Beach can survive a world cup opener against Turkey then he should be fine with this. All it's doing is setting up Ryan for a bad game and what ifs.

I think we should have a clear plan and choose the players that achieve that plan since there is little difference between the quality of our players but a big difference in their profiles

I'd like see Ryan get a chance at redemption but it could go very wrong. See how long and accurate Beach's kicks are? 70m!

I suspect we'll need to weather the storm because they will come out pumped and breathing fire. Christ I'd love us an early goal to silence them and the crowd.

Post Euro 2008 keeper power vacuum. Neuer was in the ascendency while Rene Adler was excellent at the time. Tragically Robert Enke took his life in November 2009.

He went alright and he had to absorb a lot of pressure in the first half. I just felt Geria looked very assured when on.
