FIFA WC 26 - Other Nations LIVE Match Thread ⚽

Two changes for Croatia in the 66th minute. Marco Pasalic and Igor Matanovic come on for Luka Vuskovic and Petar Musa respectively.
 
Three changes for England in the 72nd minute. Morgan Rogers, Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford come on for Declan Rice, Noni Madueke and Anthony Gordon respectively.
 
Two more changes for Croatia in the 78th minute. Andrej Kramaric and Nikola Vlasic come on for Mario Pasalic and Martin Baturina respectively.
 
Marcus Rashford scores in the 85th minute for England to extend their lead to 4-2 near the end of regulation time. Bukayo Saka with the assist.

He should of went to 4 at half time but didnt and we conceded right away. We never came out of the dressing room at half time.

England were good, but we made them look better.

Dominik Livakovic had a good performance between the sticks for Croatia though.
 
Missed most of second half after Bellingham's goal but could see that England were starting to be more dynamic and attacking.Maybe they will continue to play with this attitude now having this match out of the way and go deep into the tournament if not all the way to the final.

Yes Modric like Ronaldo, their time is up, they have carried their nations admirably for 2 decades now & time to call it.
Modric especially against talented beast midfield like Rice, Bellingham & Anderson was always going to struggle. What a winner Modric has been for Croatia.
Ronaldo up against young strong defenders that are now stronger, faster & fitter, time. Should now be a winner in dressing room & bit part player.
Two of the greatest players to grace this beautiful game.

Ahhh someone mentioned Messi, he's a freak, he walks around the pitch, the other Argentina players work like dogs to make up for his lack of mobility, they get him the ball, he sees the game like no one else, slows it right down, is always first to react & when goal opportunity comes passes the ball into the net. Just enjoy what he will give us for rest of career & be thankful we were at age to watch this man play.

Modric has just come back from a fractured cheekbone injury, he's not even fully fit, he looks off the pace.

Kovacic & Gvardiol just got back from long term injuries and it shows.

not enough football in the legs of some of our players.

just its only the first game, a lot of time to turn it around
