Poor Deuce Bigolo.... The one thing we learned this morning with the "drinks break pty ltd" is that they will NOT cut back to the action in time and we WILL miss minutes of broadcasting .... After Mexico's second goal this morning the went to a drinks break and then wehn broadcast resumed we missed the kickoff....

But wasn't it Topps that insisted the debut players have the badges as they own the rights to the images from this WC and will use them in future collections?

Topps insisted that debutant players get badges from this World Cup onwards so they can go in trading cards but you won't be able to get a Nestory Irankunda debut trading card for example until the conclusion of the next cycle when the deal actually kicks in.

Destroying the flow of the sport. As if the constant faking of injury and time wasting hasn't been doing it already for 30 years. Be happy you can put some electrolytes into yourself. I don't necessarily agree with it but if it's going to keep the games intensive to the end then why not. I know the main reason is marketing but the amount of money that flows through this that does generate economic activity is also a good thing.

Yeah drinks breaks should be a quick thing done when it’s hot, not a money grab for more ads that turns it into a game of four quarters. This isn’t American sport, this is global sport. It’s two halves with extra time and penalties if needed, that’s it. Take this “four quarters” shit back to the NBA and NFL.
