Has anyone got any money? Can sum1 doordash my a pizza? Starving! Don’t get dole cheque until next week. I guess me and the APL have something in commen.
Football Australia made 140million, thats more than rugby australia made in 3 of the last 4 years

Revenue can clearly get better, but we need to fix what we spend on

well pretty obvious they have been filling their own pockets as well as woeful business decisions that lose $’s as well.
They should all be sacked more so thrown out full stop.
The rot is there period they are still hiding evidence.
Plus the APL hiding behind their own mess of loss’s/wastage and their best contribution is blocking out the rest of the game !!!!!!
Angry isn’t the right word Graz.

Much of the budget Football Australia has is being wasted on bailing out the APL due to their mismanagement which has had a detrimental effect on how the game is being run though.

And that excuses the FA ?
The FA have done the right thing to save the utter mis management of the Pro entity to actually save the games face under their watch might I add.
The detrimental effect has occurred for 20yrs ! Not just since these idiots split.
TBH the FA should drive the moral high ground leverage and impose a deal that a new structure will be implemented to open their our game up for eg in 2yrs with or without them ?!
Both parties or at the AGM couldn’t even be specific on the deal they have struck if I recall reading right.
Can you really trust any of them ?

If Football Australia are indeed saving the game given the mismanagement of the APL then surely there would be rebundling of both entities in the future.

I know if I was FA CEO this would have been on the table and done whether they liked it or not !
Fingers crossed but I don’t think the FA have the balls let alone a team capable under their watch under the current circumstances.
It’s a weak body atm.

On this weeks APL menu we've got a new pizza. It has no topping, no cheese, no sauce and no crust however it has a cardboard box with a logo. We call it the Western United.

For all the shit I put on the APL I will say that Sydney FC actually do make money.
I doubt they have the last season or two. In the past, whenever we see an A-League club making profit it's almost always the direct result of some good transfer fees. Same story at MV, even back when they had 20k+ members/attendances they still needed a big international transfer fee or two to put them into the black. The clubs also don't have the salary cap covered by the TV grant money anymore, so that is obviously going to have a noticeable effect on any potential profits.

yer what a load of bollocks they have been profitable but for smart accounting games to report.
Every single club has backed off their expense's - playing youth, they still have to run their business that costs keep going up like for all of us and business.
Last I checked 245 odd employees.
They had endured wash outs and loss revenue whilst Allianz gets resurfaced, you don't recover those loss's quick time, the APL had to drop revenue as we know.
Crowd numbers are up as has been posted up but that camouflages actuals.

Here's a quick Ai
Sydney FC has historically run at a financial loss and relies on the financial backing of its owners and benefactors to operate, rather than being a profitable business.
Like many clubs in the A-Leagues, the club's financial struggles are tied to the broader revenue challenges of the league's central administration (the Australian Professional Leagues). While Sydney FC is the most widely supported and commercially successful team in the competition, generating millions in revenue and boasting record club memberships and transfer fees, the operational costs of maintaining deep squads, extensive youth academies, and the demands of top-tier football consistently outpace incoming revenue. Furthermore, clubs operating in the league have been hit with financial restrictions and belt-tightening measures as the APL restructures.

Fuck off with the rubbish AI. Try, ACTUAL INTELLIGENCE.

Most of SFC's money comes from our corporates, which in Australian standards, is quite a lot.

hehe yer fuck the ai I agree, the rest stands, maybe covering your costs, about it full stop.
With up to 245odd employees/1st squad and below/running academies its not nickle and dime here.
Which is quite a lot Sutho, your a member - do members get to see annual report ?
My checking I see its all strictly confidential - wonder why.

I don't believe that they are a PLC, so, no we don't get to see it as they don't need to disclose it.
