We are the only club in the npl who would go into a game without a defender on the bench, paid a very heavy price when Lampard came off.

No need for 4 subs at once either with such a poor bench.

Attention needs to turn to ensuring we dont get dragged into a bottom half scrap, we arent contending this year.
 
We are starting to look tired as these players have now played well over a seasons worth of games already. I dont believe the current players have what it takes. The 1st half was decent but 2nd half it felt like we were content to just keep the score at 2-1. When we fall behind we really appear to have no ideas. Painter Andrews gives you something going forward but is a terrible defender, inglese is a terrible defender, once we lost Lampard and had no defenders to bring on it went pear shaped. A simple swibel for Bonada swap and Menealou for one of the mids was the logical chage.

My take is we need 5-6 players in the window ready to come into the first 11.

Swibel great goal, then gave it straight back when his fuck up led to the 2-1..

Messourouni very unlucky with free kick, but literally offers nothing in general play, the president is forcing him onto the fiels no question about it.
 
If all these players are leaving then we clearly have signings lined up my worry being if they will be cuptied players for ffa cup. Manny if coming obvs wouldn't be but who else. Maybe some city youth players

Spot on.. nowhere near enough.. team needs fresh starters... atleast 4 _ 5 signings to build for the chamoionship.
As is we have no hope of even going deep into the cup!
NPL hanging on by a thread and if we dont steady ship in next rounds we will be in trouble...
 
We subbed on 4 players at once, 3 of which are not going to give you anything. Mikkola and Pasquali should not have come off.

The team needs a major refresh Aus championship style. 4-5 players need to come in that are starters.

Losing Bonada infuriates me. Messourouni and Papastergiadis have fucked the club. We are almost certainly going trophyless domestically this year.

If Bentleigh hands us a 6th straight loss in a fortnight buckle up for an old fashioned relegation scrap.
 
It was a match of two parts. The first 35 minutes were good, and we should have been leading by three or four goals. Instead, the second part of the match being the last 60 minutes or so were terrible. Particularly that second half was embarrassing.

Altona was in the bottom three of the ladder. They are very average and we made them look like world beaters. They haven’t beaten us since 2021. We looked slow in the last 30 minutes, as if they were out of steam.

Our bench is too weak. If you’re expecting Lackay and Mesorouni to turn things around, then I shake my head. Agree that only Swibel needed to come off for a straight swap with Bonada. Pasquali and Mikkola should have stayed on. We were chasing a win.

The season is precariously positioned. Just outside the top 6 on goal difference and only 6 points away from the relegation zone. Not going to panic yet, but the match against Bentleigh away is nothing short of must win. If we lose to Bentleigh then our season is well and truly in trouble. The midseason transfer window cannot come soon enough.
