YEP just like that for me - its a gift horse in the mouth, we have moaned groaned for years of X decent player no picked or they sitting on the fence, take the opportunity with both hands its not like we have many to pick from that have played at his levels - well to me that is.

Well he may kill it or may not but he's well worth finally now he startng his Roo career.
Timing of announcement ? well you can't wait forever or right timing, the sooner the better so paperwork gets done and he's in camp.
Who knows what has gone on behind the scenes and tbh it really no matter to me.

It could just be as simple as he was waiting for his parents to give him the blessing

True but it’d be nice to give him one last dance. Other countries are doing it for their stars: Argentina with Lionel Messi, Brazil with Neymar (if he’s fit), Croatia with Luka Modrić, Germany with Manuel Neuer, Portugal with Cristiano Ronaldo, etc.

Cristian Volpato should be jumping ship to Football Australia from the Italian federation in the coming days though given how close we are to the World Cup and the fact that we've submitted the necessary documentation well in advance.

Seriously turn it up.
I’d give any of the above their own choice when to hang up the boots but to compare with either in discussion not very likely sorry.

I wasn’t attempting to compare Awer Mabil to any of those guys. I was just saying that he could retire in the same tournament they will be.
