That win for NSW was a Bradbury moment . Had Ponga done that with 10mins to QLD win . 50/50 call for send off . He hit his head and rules state is a send off offence .
Good to see Burto get a run it may boost his confidence more .

The Tigers game will be a good test for us, probably at step up from the Storm, except for the fact that the Storm had more hard running players in the starting lineup.

The main players that worry me in the Tigers line up are Skelton and Turuva, kicking to Skelton's wing can neutralise both, because Turuva is unlikely to get the play 2 carry.

If it is wet, i like our starting lineup. If it is dry, I would replace Montoya with Critter.

We didn't concede many 6- agains an penalties against the Storm, but they rolled though us early when they won the collision.

If it is wet, this is a good game to play Montoya, all of our back 5 run hard.

Hayes and Mann both hit with the shoulder, very handy at the start of the game. I think Salmon is good on an edge at the start of a game.

I am not sure what to expect from tne ref, but i think it will be similar to tne Storm game. We need to monitor how the game is being ref'ed and adjust early if necessary.

I'm expect a physical intense set-for-set slog, but we might be able to drag some critical errors out of the Tigers.

They will not have the fitness to go with us for 80, but the will have the fitness to go with us for 65. If we are ahead at the 65 min mark, i'll be confident.

Tigers are definately good enough to win, especially if they get a bit of luck, and a few calls. We need to use our captain's challenges wisely, and we need a slightly improved version of the last 40 against the Storm.

Are the Tigers over the Galvin saga and will they use it again as motivation like last year .. ?
I hope Galvin rips them a new one ...
If it's wet Burto needs to bomb all day .

I expect Galvin to use last year's game as motivation.

Wet or dry doesn't really bother either team,

This is a game where we need to prove we are back in the hunt.

Sydney weather seema to be clear, Critter for Montoya is the right move.

Critter needs a big game. Last time he played in a winning Dogs side was round 3 in Canberra. His form has been patchy and he needs to play well to keep his spot in SOO.

Kiraz running off Hayward should help create opportunities on the right.

Sharks / Manly game was weird.

Manly probably the better side, after being poor in the first half,

Our loss to the Sharks is hard to explain, they don't look like a great team to me.

Tommy Turrbo will probably be back for the gane against us. Key players returning from injury against us is normal this season.

First assignment is, keep Api and Bula quiet.

What's happening they need to show more passion run harder and tackle harder . Tigers are fired up . Critter needs to step up either he is injured or just out of form . They need to stop trying fancy passes .

I don't think we are playing that bad, just need to sharpen up execution.

Our attack improves when Hayward comes on.

Very good 40 from the Tigers, they might not be able to repeat it.

We will see, we have played worse than that and won.

We are learning some valuable lessions the hard way this year.

We still need to try to win every game.

If Kiraz is injured it might be time to try Dykes. I doubt the Tracey will win us enough games.

Missing Presto and Kicks on the edge .
I'm afraid to bring it up but Galvo offers are limited give him credit for the try but his kicking game is very average, he should had improved immensely by now .
He's not the X factor we are after and I'm not sure if ever will be.
I would honestly try him on the bench. See if we can put Sullivan or someone in number seven and just get Galvo off the bench if we need him just to see how things go.

Galvin is only 20, and long term he will probably end up playing lock.

I agree with Cirro, the last Tigers try really looks like an offside runner took our fullback out.

Burto and Xerri didn't manage to repeat their effort against the Storm.

Since we need to score points, perhaps we should try Dykes at fullback and Spinks at left backrow

Mentally that game was tough for Galvin, one day he is going to make the Tigers fans pay. I thought today might be the day.

Cirro listed 3-4 refs calls that didn't go our way, but our execution at the opponents end has been an issue for years.

Players that could improve our execution are Dykes, Woods, Teapua, Spinks, Young and Sua. these guys are young and theIr defence is suspect.

I am not convinced that O Sullivian offers much.

When our forwarda start running hard and fast flat over the advantage line, we will score more trys.

When Hughes is healthy, we need him in the side.

We don't score many trys off kicks, but we also don't have many forwards crashing over from close range

We were on top early in the game a dud pass from Burton to Xerri shifted the momentum.

Galvin is more consistent than Burto, we looked more dangerous on the right side.

Toups on the right was far more threaterning than Salmon on the left.

I have a lot of differring thoughts on this game.
Did I think the officiating was poor. I thought it was pathetic.
Did I think we were robbed. Yes Salmon's try as fair but dissallowed. The Tigers try right after was not a try but allowed.
Did I think the Dogs deserved a win. No, not on that performance.
We have too many players not in their correct position, not yet first grade material or playing injured. I also believe there is no harmony in the playing group, something is amiss like there is infighting among the players. Whatever it is they are definitely not playing for one another and it is very obvious.
If there is a player creating disharmony, regardless of his status or playing ability or even how long his contract had left to run, the club has to cut him loose or the team suffers, as we are witnessing.

ODF I don't think there is disharmony within the side, when the team loses people look for a single reason.

It is lots little things, fullback is one position where we are off the pace.

Bula made a couple of great try saving tackles, he doesn't always do that.

Overall we are playing about the same as last year, but other teams are playing better.

We are not converting good play into points and we are not defending mistakes. Get better at converting and we have fewer mistakes to defend.

I have a lot of doubt about players playing injured. Yes, they can play but not well enough to win.
Injures are always a factor, should we have rested injured players so they can recover?

We need more depth and quality, especially at fullback.

Credit where credit is due, the Tigers played well, that wasn't a big surprise. They also got a bit of luck.

We had opportunities to win, but couldn't take them.

The try save on Critter at the end of the first half and the Curran no try we critical.

We don't need to just turn up to get an easy win, any week against any opposition.

The last 20 mins can be easy, if the first 60 is perfect.

The only games we have dominated at the start were with Hughes and Thompson at prop. We need Hughes back, and perhaps he should be starting.

Just try to win each week and see what happens.

If more Dogs fans turned up, we might have got more luck with the ref.

Cirro could have bought Hayward on ealier and we could have had Dykes on the bench.

Mann, Salmon and Hayes are similar, we might need to replace one of them eith a more dynamic forward.

And playing 17 fully fit players would help.

We are getting just enough wrong to cancel out the hard work.

I agree with what you say. The team are just not finishing off their hard work. I listened to the game but didn't watch it and the highlights I saw were promising. My compiaint is the admin are bastardising the game in order to appease a group that can maximise profit on the "product". V'Landys is alienating the game from the true grassroots supporter. The quicker this arsehole realises that Rugby League and horseracing are not the same "consumable" the better, AND Rugby League would be a better game without him.

We are 2-3 win short of where we need to be, we are not going to win enough games with the same team lineup, becuase effort wasn't the issue in the Tigers gamr, luck and excution were the issue.

The loss to Parra is one of the games that has really cost us, another loss to them would rule out making the semis.

IMO we need to gamble becuase it is hard to keep teams to less than 24 with the current rules and our line up is to clunky to score more than 24 regularly.

IMO what didn't work was Mann 9, Salmon 12, Hayes 13. The combination of all 3 offered very little in attack. At least one of the 3 is injured, perhaps all 3 are injured, Salmon seems the least likely to be injured.
