A-League transfer news/rumours

Brisbane Roar have delisted three A-League Women players following the conclusion of their 2025-26 campaign, with Bente Jansen leaving the club upon falling out of contract at season's end to return to Europe. Kyla Hanson has also been delisted and is going to return to NPLW Queensland, whilst Ava Piazza is the third player to leave the side.
I don’t think there are many clubs that could keep their squad on rolling contracts with the exception being the two Melbourne clubs.

I saw Momo Hayashi’s Insta story of Bente Jansen at Brisbane Airport then Momo saying how much she’ll miss her so I expected that. She’s been quite good for Roar so I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets another stint in the Eredivisie.

Macarthur are delisting keeper Filip Kurto at season's end following five years at the club where he became their most capped player, making 145 appearances between the sticks for them across all competitions since joining during A-League Men season 2021-22. He leaves the side having won two Hahn Australia Cup titles with them in 2022 and 2024, including starting in both finals in addition to recording 33 clean sheets.

Macarthur legend.

Roar Media Release:

Brisbane Roar can today announce the departure of defender Matthew Dench with his contract at the club to conclude shortly.

The 22-year-old joined the club ahead of the 2025/26 season after a successful trial period and made 12 appearances for Brisbane Roar, scoring one goal in that time.

Brisbane Roar thanks Matthew for his contribution to the club and wishes him all the best for the future.

I can see Brazete working out well in a club like Adelaide United.

They often include young players with a similar playing style to his - using his skills to play through and around rather than simply looking for an open pass every time. Would depend on how he lifts again since he got a bit squashed this last season.

Dench was a decent bench player for us. Wasn't really given a big run behind other players, but I liked a lot about him.

Adelaide United have culled three players, with Panashe Madanha, Austin Ayoubi and Bailey O'Neil leaving the club upon falling out of contract at season's end.

Macarthur have delisted four further players, with Rafael Duran, Kristian Popovic, captain Luke Brattan and Chris Ikonomidis all leaving the club at season's end.

Luke Brattan? That’s a big surprise and a big loss for them.
