The "Us vs. Them" mentality is cross-border, but is football culture crossing a line? What’s the solution?
We saw it flare up in the Czech league recently, and then just last night in Scotland.
Look, we all love the "Us vs. Them" tribalism of football—the intensity, the rivalry, and the passion are exactly what makes this sport the greatest on earth. But it feels like we are constantly hitting a wall where that passion sours into a genuine issue with fan behavior.

What do you think?

I can't stand the ultras who think they own the club or use the club as a label or branding for their own misbehaviour. Hooligans are technically the next violent step up but there are overlaps.

Some clubs even have separate groups of ultras who fight amongst themselves.

You have to laugh at times when you have fully grown men running around chanting through a quaint cafe street with children enjoying ice cream. Plenty of ultras are a special form of umdumb and just unpleasant anti social types looking for some form of belonging.

Some German ultra groups aren't really violent or intimidating. From experience Freiburg and Fürth don't have too many incidents but have a few dickheads. Frankfurt meanwhile mean business and run amok. Most ultras have a code where they won't bother people wearing official gear. If a Hertha ultra saw my official 96 kit, that's different to wearing a self made black 96 ultra shirt.

As for Rostock, Dresden, Halle and Zwickau. They go for everyone and are animals. Throwing people out of moving trains. Not fun.

I guess I want everyone to be accountable whether it's a suit who's holding the game back or dazza the ultra who wants to throw flares

When suits ruin a club, fans take it into their own hands?

assuming this protest is relating to their relegation

You've just insulted 95% of this forum...

ah interesting thread.
I think MCG is the supreme GG Idealist ?

I don't condone violence but I luv the Casual Ultra experience in spades.
