One of the things I dislike about Celtic and Rangers is that their entire identity is religion and politics. If you’re Catholic you support Celtic, if you’re Protestant you support Rangers. Even among the ethnic clubs in Australia it’s not religion or politics-based and there are fans from other groups.
 
Game over. Celtic won the Premiership. Lens won Ligue 1. No real feel-good stories in Euro men’s football. Sigh.
 
I know the blatant corruption of CAF isn’t present anywhere in the UK but if the AFCON final was abandoned over a walkout surely this could be too?

It is why it is so revered in world football. It will never change.
 

Aarhus won for the first time in 40 years. A lot of the small to mid sized Leagues have new or smaller club champions.

The Swedish league was won by a village.
True though to be fair those aren’t huge leagues. Well, the Superliga is pretty good but the Allsvenskan isn’t great (especially when you consider that the Damallsvenskan is the sixth best women’s league in Europe).

Edit: Thun winning the SSL is a pretty cool story!!!
