9News made a good point. Melbourne has protests all the time, many of which turn violent, but they stop for a football match? Lol.
This will be the last thing I say about it because you guys aren't taking it in.

A protest is a civil right hosting a football event isn't. Fed square don't want to be liable to someone getting injured or burnt. If someone hosts it they are happy to take that risk
