A-league attendances

13k is great, isn't it? The Reds have sold 16k in the same time and they're a capital city, still two weeks away and opponent unknown.
It's just that they got 20k+ to a home game so I don't know why there is no interest now cum finals times. As for Adelaide its a small stadium and 16k is pretty much Capt out.
I just think the Jets should be selling out with there fans starved of finals football for so long they really should be knocking down fences to go to the game.

The game is not for another two weeks or so.

I definitely thought there'd be more sold by now, but Jetties will get mid 20s no worries. I panic bought thinking they'd fly off the shelves like the GF a few years ago (yes I know semi not as big ticket as final). In saying that most of the better seats are gone, there's only a handful on the sides left, they'll keep chipping away at the rest. I don't know what tickets normally cost as am a season ticket holder, but the beauty of Jetties lower crowds is you can normally get GA and sit wherever you want. If you want to sit in those seats now it's quite the increase in price haha.

Also Southern End GA sold out apprently

See how Con Roy keeps the ALeagues mens small with not hussle to increase it even by two teams. Wants to have a hard cap next couple of seasons at least, shows no forsight.
Well, this slowly deteriorates the competition, fans lose interest because there is nothing interesting happening, in a fractured sporting code.

I think the club should lock everyone in and you have to say why you're only only attending a final game before they let you out. Where were these fans during the season
Bigger events = bigger crowds. Not sure why people get upset about this. We should celebrate the bandwagoners while locking in and trying to add to the core

I'm not necessarily upset it's human nature but it's anooying. Like people who only come out if a mutual friend they like is invited. Loyalty is so hard to find these days

Not saying you did. It just shows the lack of imagination in Australian sport, RL also try and call them the Ashes. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
Like the cricket Eng-Aus “Ashes”, there are also football Aus-NZ “Ashes”: “Created in 1923, the Soccer Ashes trophy was a powerful symbol of the Australian men’s national team’s early years, containing the ashes of cigars, housed in a safety razor case that was carried at Gallipoli.”

As Sutho said, lets get through this week before you start putting shit on the Jets fans
Wasn’t putting shit on the Jets fan, just strange they have only sold 13k tickets so far where as Adelaide are pretty much sold out!. Maybe the buzz had died off or zero promotion or the gen public and so-so fans will only turn up for the grand final if they make it. I guess a semi final just doesn’t sell tickets compared to a grand final.

As i said, " flattery"

5 year rolling averages for final series (yellow) and 10 club regular season (blue). I exclude grand finals which tend to just sell out

Finals are declining slightly more slowly than the regular season with a slope of -190 per season and -89 for finals

Has Western United or Macarthur hosting any finals in recent years had an influence?
